 Our next meeting is scheduled for January 12th usual time, usual place.

The speaker for January is Kathy Robison and Donan Engineering. In this meeting Kathy and Donan will discuss Hail’s impact not only to property but to agency personnel, CAT adjusters, insurance company financials, and future coverage changes.

12:15 pm - Insurance Outlook 2012: Local to Global - General Session (Immediately following the Luncheon): Steve McElhiney, CPCU, president of EWI Risk Services and 2012 CPCU Society President 

 

  1:30 pm - Concurrent Sessions: Certificates of Insurance and Additional Insureds: Don Malecki, CPCU; Greg Deimling,   CPCU and David Humphreys

 

Tennessee Tort Reform: panel in a 5 minute lightning round format

 

   2:30 pm - Networking Break

 

   3:00 pm - Concurrent Sessions: Coverage Conundrums: Greg Deimling, CPCU and panel with attendee active  participation

 

Liability and Litigation Issues: Game Show format

 

   4:00 - 5:00 pm - Networking Reception: will include final recognition of all Sponsors as well as Exhibitors and the drawing of our GRAND PRIZE along with all Sponsored door prizes. Eligibility for Grand Prize Drawing requires the selected Winner MUST be present at the time their name is drawn.

 

For each session 1 CE/CLU has been requested.  By attending, one can earn a total of 3 CE/CLU.

 “ALL - INSURANCE INDUSTRY DAY”

 

 to be held at Rothchild’s Conference Center – 8807 Kingston Pike

 

The exposition area will open for exhibitor set-up at 10:30 am with a Networking opportunity during Participant Registration which will begin at 11:00 am followed by a catered Luncheon beginning promptly at NOON showcasing a Dynamic Keynote Speaker who will address participants concerning current issues and trends facing our Industry.  

 

Following lunch, participants are invited to attend one of two concurrent educational seminars which will begin at 1:45pm: <SPEAKERS/TOPICS TBD>  (CE/CLE hours available but have not yet been determined).

 

After the 1st seminar session, participants will have an opportunity for a mid-afternoon exhibitor visitation period and break.  Next, participants will again be able to choose from two concurrent educational seminars which will begin at 3:15pm: < SPEAKERS/TOPICS TBD>  (CE/CLE hours available but have not yet been determined).

 

At the conclusion of the 2nd seminar, all participants are invited to the attend our Closing Session & Reception beginning at 4:45pm which will include final recognition of all Sponsors as well as Exhibitors and the drawing of our GRAND PRIZE along with all Sponsored door prizes. (Eligibility for Grand Prize Drawing requires the selected Winner MUST be present at the time their name is drawn otherwise prize is forfeited & another name will be drawn until a Winner is found “present”.)

Proceeds from this event will be put toward future insurance related educational events in our region & will help fund scholarships sponsored by the CPCU society specifically for students enrolled in Insurance and/or Risk Management curriculum at MTSU and with the American Institutes for chartered property casualty underwriters.

In regards to other business there is now a scholarship for dependants of the GSM chapter. It is a $1500 scholarship offered by the Atlanta CPCU Chapter. There are 2 scholarships total being offered for the entire region under Bob Stevens. Contact Carmella or Kathy for more information.
